Logistics Asia Conference
2nd edition of “Logistics Asia Conference & Expo” was organized on December 2, 2016 at Gujarat University Convention and Exhibition Center, Ahmedabad. The theme was “Standards & Benchmarking Logistics in India – Game Changer for India to Become an Economic Super Power”. The Conference was conceptualized with the background to provide a platform to enhance the network of the Indian and Global authorities and private entities engaged in Logistics Infrastructure, Transport (Air, Rail, Sea & Road), Warehousing, Material Handling Equipment, Logistics Services Providers and IT Hardware and Software for Logistics Industry.
Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management (AIIM) was invited to the Conference to participate in two panel discussions. Two speakers from AIIM participated in the Conference:
- Dr. Pankaj Singh (Head – Services, AIER) on Topic: Skill & Talent Development in the Field of Logistics and SCM
- Dr. Diptiranjan Mahapatra (Head – Academics, AIIM) on Topic: Logistics Transformation in Rail mode
Mr. Anil Radhakrishnan, CEO, Adani Logistics was invited to deliver the Key-Note address. The Conference and the panel discussions focused on the new technology, quality services and trends pertaining to the Logistics sector and sought to provide strategic inputs to government policies and initiatives. was attended by dignitaries from the Logistics industry and academia alike.
Holland was the country partner for the Conference which was sponsored by Adani Group and supported by DIPP – Central Government of India (Make in India) and Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). It was also promoted by Embassy of India, Washington DC, USA (Ministry of External Affairs).
