FAQs – PGDM (Law)

About the Programmes-General

Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management (AIIM) launches India’s first ever Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (Law) – PGDM (Law) – program from academic year 2019- 20. AICTE approved 2-year program has been designed to explore emerging opportunities in the rapidly evolving infrastructure field and equip the students with necessary knowledge and skills in Legal and Regulatory framework and Management. The program will be offered as interdisciplinary blend of business functions, infrastructure models and legal and regulatory aspects. We will, besides providing managerial skills in core subjects, equip the students with legal expertise required for management of different businesses.

The basic difference between PGDM and MBA Programme is that while PGDM is ‘Diploma’ Programme awarded by institutions which are recognized by Government of India through the Ministry of HRD or AICTE, the MBA Programme is offered by institutes which necessarily have to be affiliated to a University. The other difference lies in the fact that PGDM Programmes are more flexible and customized as compared to MBA.

Classes are normally held during the normal working hours from Monday through Saturday.

Faculty members are easily accessible to the students and are very keen on making the learning process complete.

PGDM (Law) has been approved by the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE). UGC’s approval is not required for offering this programme. Please Click here to see the Approval Letter issued by AICTE for the current batch.

Yes, Institute facilitates and arranges for hostel to the admitted students through reputed accommodation providers near the campus.

PGDM (Law) program has an AICTE approved intake capacity of 60 seats.

Since prior work experience is not mandatory for the two-year PGDM (Law), the programme has younger students in the age group of 21-27 years with work experience between 0 to 6 years. You find students with diverse educational background such as social science, engineering, architecture, commerce, humanities & liberal arts. They are a mix of fresh and work experience.

The institute has an international academic collaboration with Purdue University, USA. This collaboration primarily focuses on exchange of faculty and research scholars, exchange of students, joint research and exchange of materials in education and research. AIIM is also in process of exploring collaborative engagement and partnership with the universities and institutions of global prominence.

We have consciously taken a call to maintain good gender diversity in the class.

The programmes are designed to ensure continuous student-industry interaction. While the students will go for study visit to sites/offices/locations during their programme, they will have industry interaction throughout their programme in the form of lectures by visiting faculty and guest faculty from industry, seminars, workshops, summer internships, apprenticeships, etc.
