About the Programmes-General
PGDM in Infrastructure Management (PGDM -IM) programme is a 2-year Full-Time AICTE approved, specialized residential course for fresh or recent graduates who are passionate about pursuing a career in infrastructure. In the First year, students complete a core curriculum that provides a thorough, integrated grounding in management & infrastructure essentials, while at the same time get exposure to a healthy dose of site visits, independent projects, and finally, end with summer internship. The idea is to make an impact on the summer recruiters on the program’s delivery which is unquestionably challenging, focused, and “real world”. In the Second year, students round off their degree with umpteen number of elective courses. The Electives have been designed through our continuous evaluation methodology from our parent group, academics, alumni, and industry connects.
The basic difference between PGDM and MBA Programme is that while PGDM is ‘Diploma’ Programme awarded by institutions which are recognized by Government of India through the Ministry of HRD or AICTE, the MBA Programme is offered by institutes which necessarily have to be affiliated to a University. The other difference lies in the fact that PGDM Programmes are more flexible and customized as compared to MBA.
At this point, the institute is concentration agnostic. However, the programme places a great deal of emphasis on primarily the following focus areas – Operation & Project Management; Economics & Policy; Finance & Accounting; Strategy & Marketing. To supplement, the institutes offers electives in thefollowing areas such as, but not limited to, Transport, Energy, SEZ, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Electricity, Port, Airport, Highway, Health, Water, Education.
Classes are normally held during the normal working hours from (Monday through Saturday). However, PGDM (IM) being a full time residential programme it is quite possible to have additional classes in the evening hours or on Sundays and/or holidays.
Faculty members are easily accessible to the students and are very keen on making the learning process complete.
PGDM (IM) has been approved by the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE). UGC’s approval is not required for offering this programme. . Please Click here to see the Approval Letter issued by AICTE.
