Mr. Jignesh P. Thaker is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department at AIIE since July 2017. He has several years of industrial and academic experience in the field of Fluid-Thermal Engineering.

Mr. Jignesh has awarded Gold Medal for securing the 1st rank in his post-graduation study in Mechanical Engineering Department of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat. He has awarded Rashtriya Vidya Gaurav Puraskar by Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi for outstanding achievements and remarkable role in the field of education. More-recently, Mr. Jignesh has awarded International Travel Support under Young Scientist Scheme of Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India for presenting his research work in 2nd International Conference on Thermal and Fluid Engineering (TFEC 2017), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. He has also awarded International Travel Support by Center of Excellence (COE) of Civil Engineering Department, SVNIT, Surat for presenting his research work in 9th International Conference on Multiphase Flow (ICMF 2016), Florence, Italy.

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Modasa, Gujarat (2007).

Mr. Jignesh has worked as an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department of Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Technology (SVBIT), Gandhinagar during August 2009 to July 2012. He has also worked as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Department of Laljibhai Chaturbhai Institute of Technology (LCIT), Bhandu and Ahmedabad Institute of Aeronautical Engineering and Information Technology (AIAEIT), Ahmedabad during January 2009 to July 2009 and during August 2008 to December 2008, respectively.

He has worked as a Project Engineer in Kankariya Textile Industries Private Limited, Ahmedabad during December 2007 to August 2008 where he has performed all activities related to the new industrial plant including erecting and commissioning of fully automated Japanese textile machineries (Including Flatbed, Stenter, Loop Steamer, Jets etc.) Steam boiler, Oil boiler and their supply pipelines. Furthermore, he has worked as a Trainee Engineer in Jindal World Wide Limited, Ahmedabad during July 2007 to November 2007 where he has attempted breakdown of imported Japanese textile machines, oil and steam boilers, and piping systems (including pumps, compressors and piping components). In addition, he has performed regular maintenance for all imported textile machineries, pumps, compressors and piping components.

Mr. Jignesh has contributed his research work in the form of 16 research publications in various International/National Journals and Conferences. He has attended several short-term training programs and workshops under TEQIP programs. Mr. Jignesh is a life member of National Society of Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power. During his doctoral study, he has associated with two research projects which have been funded by Government of India. These projects details are:
